Professor Frank Ng of Monash University in Australia created AOD-9604 (Advanced Obesity Medicine) to identify a fat-burning anti-obesity drug without the muscle-building properties of human growth hormone (HGH). A tiny area at one end of the HGH molecule seems to influence the fat-reducing effects of the hormone, according to Monash University researchers. Only around 10% of the whole molecule is made up of this area, which seems to have little influence on growth or insulin resistance.
